This winter there will be people in our district forced to choose between eating or staying warm.
They may be elderly on a fixed income or a young family not knowing how to make ends meet. Whoever they are, they deserve our help in these exceptional times.
A fund has been set up to help those in need, providing grants to help pay energy bills when no other solution is available.
Some of us are fortunate enough to be able to ride this out without worrying. If you care, do more and help others.
How you can help
Gift your Winter Fuel Allowance to the fund
For 2022/23 this also includes a 'Pensioner Cost of Living Payment' so the amount has increased to £250
or £300 per person. If you live alone this will be £500 or £600.
It will be paid by the Government in November. You will know if you qualify, so donate now and
don't delay!
Make a donation
You may not qualify for the Winter Fuel Allowance. If you have the funds please donate. Anything helps but with the size of Energy Bills amounts in the range of £100 to £500 are needed to make a difference
